Bek Chapman

bek_chapmanBek Chapman is returning to The Australian Children’s Choir after having been a chorister for seven years in her youth! She has a Bachelor of Music from Melbourne University where she studied Classical Voice and Composition and has her Associate Diploma of Classical Pianoforte.She loves children and nurturing the little people under her care, combining music and fun and is currently studying a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education.She comes from a solid musical background of instrumental study, drama and musical theatre and children’s entertainment and played Maria in The Sound of Music in 2010 for which she was nominated for a Guild award!

She is a singer-songwriter from Melbourne currently fronting melodramatic piano folk-jazz-noir band Anne of the Wolves with which she has supported Eddie Perfect and opened for Adrian Edmonson (The Young Ones). She currently also plays and teaches keys, sings backing vocals and dances daggy moves for Damian Cowell’s Disco Machine (former singer of TISM) and plays and sings for Pinky Beecroft.

Bek has sung for 8 years with a cappella girl group The Nymphs who toured with The Rockwiz Orchestra, appeared on Spicks & Specks, and can currently be seen on an advertisement on the ABC. She also sings for “Pepper” in Nickelodeon Asia cartoon “Cha-ching” and works as a children’s entertainer, session singer and voice-over artist.
